Ivy lived every day to its fullest. She cared dearly for those around her, spread love to everyone in her life, and found peace, joy, and beauty in everything she did. Our family misses her tremendously. She started a beautiful legacy, and it will be our greatest honor to carry it forward for years and generations to come.
Ivy dedicated her life to teaching. She began her career by raising her own children while also working at the local Chinese language school every Sunday. In 2006, Westminster School invited her to join their Primary Division team. Once her own children began moving out for college, she welcomed five foreign exchange students as her own family by hosting them at our home. Using her Bachelor’s degree in Applied Psychology from Fu Jen Catholic University in Taiwan and Master of Education degree in Professional Counseling plus a Montessori certificate from Oklahoma City University, she taught young children for over 30 years.
Ivy is survived by her husband, three sons, daughter-in-law, mother, three older brothers, two younger sisters, mother-in-law, two brothers-in-law, and 18 nieces and nephews in Taiwan, the United States, and Australia.
This is an unexpected loss for all who knew and cherished Ivy. However, it has also been an opportunity for us to celebrate her life and reconnect with everyone who has crossed paths with her. Thank you for your love and support—we don’t take any of it for granted.
In lieu of flowers & gifts, please consider donating to Ivy’s workplace: Westminster School. In her honor, you can make a contribution to the Annual Giving Fund. The donation page can be found here.
Forever grateful,
